I just had the cops here because my boyfriends soon to be ex, who moved out over a month ago and in with someone else was in the house because I accidentially left it unlocked, she was swearing at me in front of my 4 year old, on Mothers day no less. We changed the locks and she does not have a key but she just barges in whenever she feels like it. She is on the deed but not the mortgage....what is my boyfriend looking at in terms of this situation? If she goes to court to try and take the house, can she, or how far can she go? THis is very upsetting she had me crying and really nervous.

She is on the deed it is her house. She can kick you out if she wants, you have no rights and unless they are divorced and he has received the house in the settlement I suggest you move out.

Hi Dee!

Welcome to forums!

As your boyfriend's soon to be ex has her name on the property deed, she is still the owner of the property. I agree with Melaney that until your boyfriend receives the property as a part of the divorce settlement, he will not be sole owner of the property and she can barge into the house anytime.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
